Start a formulation
Open Formulations, choose New, and enter the target, working temperature, ingredients, source strengths, lots, and preparation order. Critical plan checks must be resolved before a batch can start.
Understand the planner
The Planner calculates quantities only from the values you enter. A conjugate-pair ratio is an idealized estimate. Activity, ionic strength, matrix effects, temperature dependence, reagent form, and final calibration remain outside that estimate.
Record a batch
Start from an executable plan. Complete each step, record actual additions and deviations, and add measured pH observations. Buffercast never recommends an adjustment dose.
Complete quality review
Enter the final measurements, instruments, calibration evidence, reviewer, disposition, and rationale. A displayed target comparison is not an automatic approval.
Export evidence
Use Export evidence from the Evidence screen or the share button. Buffercast creates a PDF, two CSV files, and JSON in a temporary export folder, then presents Apple's share sheet.
Restore the demonstration
Open the workspace menu at the top right and select Restore demonstration. This replaces the current local notebook with the included example, so export any records you need first.
Local data
Records save automatically on the device. Buffercast has no login or sync service. Device backups and exported files are controlled through Apple and the destinations you choose.
Method and safety boundary
Use approved procedures, current safety data, certified references, calibrated instruments, and organization-specific acceptance criteria. Buffercast is not a regulated compliance system and does not provide medical or treatment information.
